BEdesign was established in 2012 by sisters Bette and Cilla Eklund. What initially started as a small family-owned business has since then grown into an internationally renowned design brand, celebrated for its standout design furniture and home accessories. With more than 60 retailers in 18 countries, including luxury department stores such as Lane Crawford, Stockmann and Vepsäläinen, their products are sold worldwide and have collected design awards along the way.Ten years later, we still run the business from our hometown of Turku in Southwest Finland. As BEdesign has grown over the years, one thing remains the same: our dedication to longevity, minimalism, high quality and traditional craftsmanship. In our collection, organic shapes such as undulating lines, dynamic curves and powerful arches contrast with geometric shapes.

Modern design & traditional craftsmanship

We want to strengthen the position of Finnish design and know-how both in Finland and in the rest of the world. All our products are manufactured locally in Southwest Finland with respect to the traditions of Finnish wood and metal work. By keeping the entire manufacturing process in Finland, we can employ local professionals and thus support the heritage of the Finnish furniture industry, giving the region more vitality and continuity. In addition, this ensures the highest quality of workmanship as well as safe working environments and proper wages and benefits for the employees. Many of our partners are family-owned companies with a long history in the industry.

Exploring new ideas, experimenting with materials and production techniques and doing things together has always been the path to innovation at BEdesign. Inside our factories, our designer works side by side with skilled craftsmen and women, combining modern design with traditional craftsmanship. Together they share the pursuit of creating high-quality craftsmanship with longevity.
